In 1886 an American called David McConnell began selling perfumes direct to people in their own homes. After a visit to the English town of Stratford Upon Avon he was inspired to use the name Avon for his company.
Avon are the leading direct seller of beauty products with approximately 160,000 UK based representatives alone. They are also a founder member of the Direct Selling Association. Products are sold using network marketing not pyramid selling. There is no cash outlay to buy stock!
The company is a proven, reliable name with regular brochures that go a long way towards selling the products.
Avon products are NOT tested on animals and the company respect the environment by using recyclable packaging wherever possible. Charity wise, Avon has raised over £12 million in support of breast cancer.
